AVC-U2

UNDENATURED COLLAGEN TYPE II
AVC-U2 TAKES THE FORM OF A BRIGHT WHITE FIBER STRUCTURE OF LOW DENSITY. THE COLOR IS INDICATIVE OF THE LACK OF IMPURITIES.
Avicenna’s first foray was to identify a method to purify undenatured cartilage. Protein purification is a common technique used in a number of areas including health diagnostics and pharmaceutical manufacturing. Starting with understanding how collagen is purified on a lab scale, Avicenna improved the existing techniques and made them applicable for manufacturing. After an independent laboratory confirmed initial success, our researchers began work on improving the purification yield and a scale-up model to develop a process that could supply undenatured collagen of unparalleled quality at competitive prices.

AVC-U2 is produced through an extraction process that singles out the type II protein found within the chicken cartilage and then extracted to produce a raw material that is 98% Undenatured Type II Collagen Protein. During the extraction process, low temperature is used not to break the natural structure of the type II collagen protein, resulting in the collagen type II protein maintaining its triple helix structure.

AVC-U2 is patent pending and currently not in commercial production. However, opportunities for production can be discussed at this time.

AVC-H2

Hydrolyzed Collagen Type II
AVC-H2 IS AN OFF-WHITE HYDROLYZED COLLAGEN POWDER. NATURALLY, ALL PROCESSES WILL PRODUCE SOME COLORING IN THE PRODUCT.
Avicenna’s primary product is our proprietary patented Hydrolyzed Chicken Collagen Type II raw material, AVC-H2, for the benefit of joint support, including managing joint pain, stiffness, and mobility. Avicenna’s hydrolyzed collagen was developed by starting with an understanding of how collagen interacts with the body. Avicenna‘s proprietary process hydrolyzes collagen as it would naturally in our digestive system with a pH-controlled environment. This allows for control, consistency, and ultimately, a superior end product.

Use AVC-H2 in your joint health products in the following ways!

ROLE OF PROTEINS

Depending on whether you own a cat or a dog or both, the age of your pet determines how much protein your pet actually needs. Proteins play a crucial role in animal development, and are used in the production of antibodies, enzymes, hormones and tissues. Not only that, a pet’s immune system is also affected if it doesn’t consume enough protein from an animal based source versus a vegetable based source especially at a young age.

JOINT BENEFITS OF AVC-H2

Like humans, our elderly and highly active pets also suffer from arthritis. The major difference is that our pets try to hide their pain because naturally in the wild, predatory animals can sense weakness in other animals so animals with joint pain could be a potential target. However, there are still signs. For example, a stiff walk, a groan when they lie down, a favorite place that they no longer use, or simply jumping onto or off the couch becomes a difficult task.

Keeping your pet active is one way to strengthen the muscles around the joints, but for other pets that need alternatives other han being active, AVC-H2 is a nourishing and safe solution to your pet’s joint pain issues.

Hydrolyzed chicken collagen type 2 helps build cartilage in the joints which allows for better joint movement and reduced joint pain. AVC-H2 was developed to have a very high collagen protein percentage (over 70%) in order to benefit our pets suffering from joint pain.

AVC-H2: THE PROTEIN FOR PETS

Protein digestion is a common issue for many pets, causing digestive upset and kidney problems, particularly in small dogs.

AVC-H2 is the perfect protein for our furry family members because it is broken down into smaller, easier to digest peptides that keep their bodies nourished and their guts happy.

AVC-H2P The Protein For Pets

Hydrolyzed Collagen Type II

AVC-H2 IS THE PERFECT PROTEIN FOR OUR FURRY FAMILY MEMBERS BECAUSE IT IS BROKEN DOWN INTO SMALLER, EASIER TO DIGEST PEPTIDES THAT KEEP THEIR BODIES AND GUTS HAPPY.

Our companion animals are part of our family, and they rely on us to take care of them, as they take care of us too!

COLLACHK

Advanced Purity Testing Kits
Through developing collagen type II, Avicenna Nutraceutical was able to refine and optimize purity testing through proprietary methods that offer more accurate and consistent results than currently available methods.

With our research team, we discoveredconsiderable holes in the current testing standard. Avicenna created a proprietary test to replace the previous crude approximation method for determining collagen content. The original method called for determining the hydroxyproline content of the sample and multiplying it by a factor of 8 to determine collagen content (because hydroxyproline accounts for approximately 1/8 the weight of intact collagen). This method leaves room for inaccuracy and does not account for other factors.

COLLACHK™ provides our optimized purity testing method into an easy-to-use testing kit - one that aims to raise industry standards and, in the end, make a better end product for companies and consumers alike.

COLLACHK is patent pending and currently not in commercial production. However, opportunities for production can be discussed at this time.

FAQ

Collagen is the most abundant protein in mammals that acts as a major component of joint cartilage. To date, 28 types of collagen have been identified, each of which serves a special function within the human body. Collagen Type II is one of the most common in humans and represents 50% of joint cartilage protein. It has a unique structure and fibers that provide tensile strength, elasticity, and lubrication in our joints.

A pure protein sample contains a single species of protein and no contaminants such as tissue, salts, or water. Assessment of protein purity is quantified by detection of these contaminants, which allows scientists to determine how pure or concentrated a particular collagen protein sample is.

The word hydrolysis stems from the roots hydro (water) and lysis (to untie). Hydrolysis is a chemical reaction whereby a molecular bond is “untied” in a reaction involving water. Hydrolysis occurs in the stomach as part of digestion in order to break food down into the nutrients that the body needs to grow and sustain itself. In the case of AVC-H2, acid-based hydrolysis is used similarly to how the body breaks down proteins in the stomach’s acidic conditions. These hydrolyzed proteins are also known as collagen peptides.

The total collagen content on a certificate of analysis is a measure of the total amount of collagen protein in a sample of collagen.

The total protein content on a certificate of analysis is a measure of all the proteins in a sample of collagen. The total protein content is composed of non-collagen proteins and collagen proteins.

To be more accurate, Avicenna shows both the total collagen content and the total protein content unlike most of its competitors who only show total protein content.

Consumers purchase collagen because they want to benefit from it. Therefore, a collagen product with a high collagen content provides the most benefits and Avicenna provides a high collagen content with its products, unlike our competitors.
